Mrs. Martha Joyce Pearson, 69 of Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Carroll Memorial Gardens. Elder Ray Smith will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherry Wood of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM.

Pallbearers who will serve are Gary Hester, Ronald Hester, Tommy Milam, Ricky Prince, Johnny Pearson, Kiley Pearson, Logan Mitchell and Lane Mitchell.

Mrs. Pearson was born January 30, 1944 in Carroll County, Tennessee, to the late Thomas Hardy and Ira Viola (Gooch) Hester. She was a member of the Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Barbara Kay Rust, Betty Sue Hollingsworth, Helen Sparks, Mary Ann Oatsvall, three brothers, Joe Harold Hester, William "Bill Boy" Hester, and Thomas Hester.

She is survived by her husband, Wylie Pearson, two daughters, Sherry Glatzer (husband Ken) of Lakeland, Toni Pearson of Huntingdon, three sisters, Alice Mitchell of Huntingdon, Sandra Milam (husband Tom) of Portageville, Missouri, Glenda Bell of Yuma, two brothers, Dale Hester (wife Dian) of Wildersville, and Goochie Hester (wife Sandy) of Buena Vista. She also leaves five grandchildren, Kayla Carter, Kattie Simon, Kelsey Hollingsworth, Kennedy Glatzer, Jared Glatzer, three great grandchildren, Olivia Carter, K'Shun Carter, and Drelyn Carter.
