Mrs. Martha Jane Wilks, 87, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Baptist Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 7, 2024, at 1:00 P.M.  in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Cliff Kelly, Bro. Jacob Harris, and Bro. Henry Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Cliff Dillahunty, Owen McMillin, Curt McMillin, Stuart McGowan, Harrell Allen, and Evan McGowan. Honorary Pallbearers are Max McGowan, Tommy Townsend, Pee Wee Robinson and Kenny Jackson.

Mrs. Wilks was born June 20, 1936 in Huntingdon, Tennessee to the late Joseph Bass McMillin and Beulah (Roberts) McMillin. She was a business owner and hairstylist for 49 years. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Huntingdon. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Kay Wilks, a sister Betty Trull, brother-in-law Frank Trull and a brother, Barbee McMillin.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Arville Wilks; a daughter, Connie Bond (Jay) of Huntingdon; a brother, Buddy McMillin (Bobbie) of Medina; a sister-in-law, Lonelle McMillin of McKenzie; two grandchildren, Kristen Dillahunty (Cliff) of Huntingdon and Kyle Bond (Laura) of Greenville, North Carolina. She also leaves three great-grandchildren, Axel Dillahunty, Hawk Dillahunty, and Wilks Bond.
