Mrs. Martha Clark Yount, 91, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, April12,2023
at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Mrs. Yount was born January 31, 1932 in Shelbyville, Kentucky to the late Lester G. Clark and Myrtle Jessie (Puckett) Clark. After growing up in Kentucky, she and her husband lived in Avon Lake, Ohio; Houston, Texas; and Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. In each of those locations, Martha worked as a secretary and enjoyed being a homemaker. She was always active in her churches; leading ladies Bible classes, participating in WMU, and serving as church clerk. An excellent seamstress, she became an avid quilter. As a widow, she moved to Huntingdon, Tennessee to be near her daughters. Martha was preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Yount on January 25, 1999.

She is survived by two daughters, Jayne Simpson (Henry) and Elizabeth Tippitt (Tyler) both of Huntingdon, a son, David Yount (Pam) of Shawnee, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren, Sarah Daniel (Nathan), Rob Simpson (Katy), Caitlyn Horn (Cole), Aaron Yount (Micaela), Molley Tippitt, Brendan Sandel, Emily Tippitt and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Pastor Jacob Harris officiating the service. Burial will be in Bagdad Cemetery in Bagdad, Kentucky, on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of the service.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations directed to the First Baptist Church, 108 Church St. Huntingdon, TN 38344 for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering or Bibles through Gideons International.
