Mr. Martin Van Eskew, 65 of Humboldt, Tennessee passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Quent Eskew officiating.  Interment will follow in Jamison Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Mr.  Eskew was born August 22, 1957 in Milan, Tennessee.  He retired as an IT Systems Engineer for Gannett Media Company, served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era, later served in the Army National Guard.  He was preceded in death by his father, Gaylon Monroe Eskew, his finance, Patricia Smith, and one brother, Michael Wayne Eskew.

He is survived by seven boys, Michael Wade Stone (Melissa) of Camden, Jonathan Ray Eskew (Yolanda) of Huntingdon, Gaylon Monroe Eskew II (Lindsey), of Westport, Billy Joe Eskew (Toni) of Huntingdon, David Martin Eskew of Humboldt, Thomas Shane Latch (Luis) of Bemis, and Nathan D. Gurley of Georgia, his mother, Betty Jo (Belew) Eskew of Huntingdon, one sister, Barbara Jennette Weinmann of Huntingdon, and one brother, Quent Thurston Eskew (Vickie) of Huntingdon.  He also leaves thirteen grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and another one on the way.
