Mrs. Mary Butonne Ellis, 87 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Halter officiating. Interment will follow in the Carroll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 11:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Mickey Grant, Roger Grant, Roy Grant, Lane Lockhart, Chase Williams and Chris Ellis.

Mrs. Ellis was born August 25, 1934 in Parkers Crossroads, Tennessee to the late Durward Grant and Ethel (Boyd) Grant. She had retired from the Dana Corporation and was a member of the United Methodist Church. Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Rimmer, one son, Ronnie Collins and four brothers, Nolen Grant, Putt Grant, Jack Grant and Buddy Grant.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Willard Ellis, one daughter, Vicky Hamilton (Kenny), one son Skip Lockhart (Sherry) both of Lexington, two step sons, Craig Ellis of Trenton, Trent Ellis of Huntingdon and one sister Shelby Grant of Nashville. She also leaves eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
