Obituary

Mr. Max Parker Crockett, 93, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Henry County Medical Center in Paris.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Jones Cemetery. Bro. Hunter Jones will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Crockett was born August 20, 1922 in Wildersville, Tennessee to the late Franklin Shields and Mary Grace (Parker) Crockett. He retired from the United States Postal Service in 1979; he was a WWII Army Infantry Veteran and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a life Long member of the VFW Post in McKenzie, a member of the Eastview Baptist Church, and was a graduate of the Huntingdon High School Class of 1940. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Adeline Novak and one brother, Williams Franklin Crockett.

He is survived by his wife of 69years, Reba Crockett; a son, J.D. Crockett (wife Patsy) both of Huntingdon; one brother, Joe David Crockett (wife Terri) of Johnson City. He also leaves two grandchildren, Kristin Cantrell (husband Kyle) and Cody Crockett (wife Erin).
