Ms. Melissa Ellis, 57, of McKenzie, Tennessee passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Everett's Chapel Cemetery. Bro. John Carlock and Bro. Allen Trull officiating.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.

Pallbearers to serve are Chase Jordan, Cory Ellis, Tyler Lapointe, Brandon Perry, Rusty Shands, and Dale Kizer.

Ms. Ellis was born June 29, 1962 in McKenzie, Tennessee, to late Martin Lee Ellis and Sylvia Ann Clark Ellis. She was a graduate of Bethel University, and was a social worker. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Marty Ellis, and her maternal grandparents, W.C. and Ethel Clark.

She is survived by her son Blake Ellis (Jasmine), of Decherd, TN, Two sisters; Teresa Beadles (Rickey) of McKenzie, and Charlotte Perry of Lexington; a brother, Lee Ellis (Kelley) of Westport, one grandchild, Emery Ellis, and several nieces and nephews.
