Mrs. Melody Marie Travis, 60 of Venice, Florida passed away May 13, 2020 in Florida.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Jamison Cemetery.

Mrs. Travis was born January 17, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Bendell Ray Boyd and Fay (Kennedy) Boyd. She had worked as a waitress for several years before becoming disabled. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donny William Travis, two brothers, Richard A. Boyd,  Stephen H. Boyd, a sister-in-law, Barbara Boyd and a niece, Kendall Boyd.

She is survived by her husband, Miter John Dusich, two daughters, Candice Miranda (J. D.) of Murrietta, California, Danielle Goodwin (Spencer) of Orlando, Florida, two sisters, Tammy Ward (Vance) of McKenzie, Barbara Ezell (Ray) of Orange, Virginia, four brothers, Danny Ray Boyd of Mayfield, Kentucky, Larry Michael Boyd (Michelle) of Jackson, James D. Boyd and Randy D. Boyd (Danielle) both of McKenzie. She also leaves three grandchildren, Aaliyah Travis, Justin Miranda, Maddox Goodwin and several nieces and nephews.
