Obituary

Mr. Merle "Burr Head" Harvey Perdue 74, of Hollow Rock, Tennessee passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the McKenzie Regional Hospital.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday, March the 25 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM and on Thursday, March 26 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Mr. Perdue was born September 1, 1940 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Merle Perdue Sr. and Jean (Howse) Pruitt. He was a heavy equipment operator for Dyer Construction, a member of the Local 150 Union in Illinois, and served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lucinda Perdue; three step sons, David Turbyfill of Washington, Dylan Turbyfill of Branson, Missouri, and Eric Turbyfill of Arizona; one sister, Denis Burkhalter of Indiana; and one brother, James Pruitt (wife Shelia) of Huntingdon. He also leaves five step grandchildren
