Mrs. Mildred Townsend, 84 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home.  Bro. Robert Simmons will officiate the service.  Interment will follow in the Christian Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers who will serve are Tyler Bush, Cliff Bush, Jason Townsend, Kelly Price, Paul David Gaskins, and Tim Thompson.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Townsend was born March 15, 1935 in Huntingdon, Tennessee to the late William Oscar Carnal and Neva (Mann) Carnal.  She was employed as a Guard at the Milan Arsenal and was a cancer survivor of forty-five plus years.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Lendon Bush, one brother, Ray Carnal and one sister, Thelma Gaskins

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Wayne P. Townsend, one daughter, Junie Bush, three sons, Mark Bush (Jackie), Russell Bush (Nina), Sammy Bush (Felicia), all of Huntingdon, two sisters, Kathleen Baldwin of Alamo and Butonne Williams of Jackson.  She also leaves seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
