Mrs. Mildred Marie Walls, 93 of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at her home.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Carroll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM.

Mrs. Walls was born September 29, 1927 in Carroll County to the late George Everett and Florence (Wiles) Eskew. She attended the old Buxter School and Clarksburg High School. She was a nurse's aide at the old Carroll County General Hospital and Baptist Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1991. She was a faithful member of the West Knoxville Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, George Arthur Eskew, Darrell Lynn Eskew, Virgie Lou McMinn, Robert Wayne Eskew, Gaylon Monroe Eskew, Betty Joyce Crider, Ivy Jane Davis Callison and Juston Kenneth Eskew.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years Dwayne Carlton Walls; two sons, Dwayne (Paula) Walls of Huntingdon, Dwight (Linda) Walls of Plainview, Texas and a daughter, Starr (Shawn) Leehans of Knoxville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Katherine Hawkins (Daryl) of Huntingdon, Virginia (Dane) Bailey of Marysville, Washington, Lily Stevens and Dexter Stevens of Knoxville and four great grandchildren. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
