Mrs. Nancy Laverne Murphy, 96, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at NHC Milan.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Hunter Jones officiating.  Interment will follow in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Murphy was born June 19, 1927 in Milan, Tennessee, to the late Luther Allen and Lillian (Pryor) Rogers.  She was a seamstress at H. I. S. Company and a member of Eastview Baptist Church.  Her hobbies included, working in her flowers, doing family genealogy, scrap booking, and cooking. Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Martin Murphy, a daughter, Janice Foster, a son, Lonnie Murphy, two brothers, Leon Rogers, and Edward Rogers.

She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Lynn Murphy (Wilma) and Marty Lane Murphy (Connie) both of Cedar Grove.  She also leaves six grandchildren, Scotty Murphy (Julia), Steven Murphy, Nick Foster (Lindsey), Jill Campbell (Jason), Frankie Murphy (Brittney), and Jessica Denny (Tom), four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Payton, Alayna, Logan, J.P., two great great-grandchildren, Robbie and Ella.
