Mr. Nathanael Louis Gourley, age 79, residing in Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022 from natural causes.
The family will be having a private memorial service.
Nathanael, born on August 26, 1943 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, served as a Marine, and became a tool and die maker before enjoying a successful career in technical sales.
At age 21, he married Diana Roam, whom he had loved since childhood, and went on to have 2 beautiful children. Nathanael lived a full life and found immense joy in the places they lived, the family they raised and the relationships they formed. He and Diana started their married lives in Phoenix, Arizona and would continue to nurture their familial bonds in Ft. Lauderdale and Eustis, Florida, Kansas City and Saint Louis, Missouri, Memphis and Huntingdon, Tennessee. He would impart a sense of gratefulness and wonder for the varied beauty of God's creation into his children and grandchildren that serve as an invaluable legacy.
Nathanael is survived by Diana, his wife of fifty-seven years, his two children, their spouses, and five grandchildren. His daughter, Natalie Jordan is married to Timothy and have three children: Emileigh, Guy who is married to Brionna and Levi. His son Daryl is married to Shanna and has two children, Aidan and Reese. He is also survived by his brother, John Gourley of Dongola, Illinois, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Nathanael is preceded in death by his father, Gene, his mother, Arbutus, his sister, Elma, his brother, Michael and great grandchild, Bre'elle Jordan. He also joins in death his beloved grandparents, Jesse and Zella Johnson as well as his honored protectors, Leroy and Ardie Johnson, his great friend and uncle, Deon Johnson and nephew, Taryl Dunlap.
Nathanael was a member of Life Apostolic Church in Huntingdon, Tennessee, and always loved and supported the work of God.
