Mr. Nelson Stewart, 79, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday February 25, 2026 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in McAuley Cemetery. Bro. James Selph will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Stewart was born December 21, 1946 in Selmer, Tennessee to the late Ross Everett and Lucy Avis Brewer Stewart. He was a business owner and a member of the Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Buena Vista. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved woodworking, and making things for his family. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play and grow.  He was preceded in death by a son Michael Ross Stewart, four brothers Elvin Stewart, Bobby Stewart, Jerrold Stewart, Tommy Stewart, and a sister, Ruby Cole.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rebecca "Becky" Stewart; a daughter, Camey Hall (Kevin) all of Huntingdon and a brother, Ricky Stewart (Darlene), of Corinth, Mississippi. He also leaves a four grandchildren, Sean Kendall (Sarah Reisinger), Haley Kendall, Logan Hall and Chris Stewart; five great grandchildren, Lincoln, Kamdin, Landry, Korbyn Lucy and Micheal and beloved family dog, Milo.
