Mr. Odell Vinson Gurley,84, of Clarksburg, Tennessee passed away Sunday, April 1,2018 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Seller's Hill Cemetery. Bro Chase Sanders and Bro. Billy Ringold will officiate.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers to serve are Jimmy Pritchard, Billy Hardy, David Pritchard, Danny Ray Hastings, Ryan Cobb and Terry Mask. Honorary pallbearers will be James Rosser and Ricky Scott.

Mr. Gurley was born June 22, 1933 in Henderson County to the late John Oder and Corene (Hardy) Gurley. He was a member of Clarksburg Church of Christ and retired butcher at E.W. James in Huntingdon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Oren Ray Gurley.

He is survived by his wife of sixty two years, Robbie Sue (Peterson) Gurley; a daughter, Lana Foster (Ricky); a son Myron Gurley (Rhonda) all of Clarksburg; two sisters, Frances Laws of Huntingdon and Odalene Wyatt of Jackson; two brothers, Orbra Gurley of Clarksburg and Otis Gurley of Jackson; four grandchildren, Jeremy Gurley (Elizabeth), Chris Gurley (Tosha), Mitch Foster (Heather), Matt Foster (Julia); ten great-grandchildren, Ashlynn Foster, Gage Gurley, Hailey Foster, A K Gurley, Molly Foster, Miley Foster, Natalie Gurley, Allie Gurley, Zane Foster, and Ridge Kokas.
