Mrs. Willie Opal Jeffries 88, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sellers Hill Cemetery. Bro. Chase Sanders will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Jeffries was born September 30, 1925 in Parsons, Tennessee to the late Ollie and Mamie (Brunt) Hayes. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Jeffries; one daughter, Brenda Umstead; two sons, Tony and Monty Jeffries; one sister, Nadine Hatfield; and three brothers, Danny Hayes, J.B. Hayes, and Rex Hayes.

She is survived by one daughter, Motty Beckham of Clarksburg, four sisters, Emma Lou Adams of Clarksburg, Marie Nowell (husband Robert) of Portageville, Missouri, Judy Griffin (husband Ken) of Leslie, Arkansas, and Patricia Macnufo (husband Bob) of Festus, Missouri and one brother, Jerry Hayes of Nashville. She also leaves six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
