Mrs. Peggy Baumgardner, 83, of McKenzie passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at The Waters of McKenzie.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 1, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Cool Springs Cemetery in Cedar Grove.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.

Mrs. Baumgardner was born October 14, 1938, in Chesterfield, Tennessee, to the late Richard and Willie (Sweatt) Johnson. She was retired as a dry cleaner for Mid-Town Cleaners. She was a member of Spring Creek Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lawrence Johnson, Faye Johnson, Rick Johnson, and Vaughn Johnson.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Bob Baumgardner, 3 daughters, Tammy Dodd (Tony) of Cedar Grove, Sandra Cooper (Ronnie), Debra Mayberry, both of McKenzie. A son, Danny Baumgardner, of Lavinia, and a sister, Barbara Boos, of Lansing, Michigan. She also leaves six grandchildren, Joshua Mayberry, Lydia Armour, Matthew Cooper (Mallory), Meagan Cooper, Nick Dodd (Mery), Hope Dodd, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
