Mrs. Peggy Irene Pruitt, 73, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery. Bro. George Avery will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Pruitt was born August 8, 1943 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Clarence Jackson and Tessie (Byars) Rich. She was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in McKenzie and had worked as a manager in several retail businesses. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Johnson, Frances Carter, and Johnnie Beal; seven brothers, CJ, Raymond, Coy, Billy, Dickie, Ray, and Garlon Rich

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Chuck Pruitt; two daughters, Denise English of Henning and Sherry Pruitt of Ft. Worth, Texas; two sons, David Pruitt (Jennifer) of McKenzie and Mark Harder of Newbern; two brothers, Gaylon Rich and Don Rich, both of Huntingdon; one sister, Faye Chandler of Adamsville. She also leaves ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
