Ms. Peggy Lynn Smothers, 59, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Martin Godwin officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty All Cemetery

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday from10:00 A.M. until time of service.

Ms. Smothers was born November 28, 1964, in Huntingdon, to the late Priest and Lois Campbell Goodrum. She worked in industrial manufacturing. She loved to fish and she loved her family. She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Blankenship, a brother, Lynn Goodrum, and a grandson, Cole Latch.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jimmy Smothers, a daughter Rachel Smothers, a son, Shannon Latch (Lacy) both of Huntingdon, two sisters, Evelyn Eubanks of McKenzie, Sue Jones of Huntingdon, two brothers, Danny Goodrum of McKenzie, Glen Goodrum of Huntingdon, and three grandchildren, Jetta Latch, Jeremiah Latch, and Lizzie Lou Latch.
