Bro. Harlon "Pete" Kirby 81, of Wildersville, Tennessee passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Lexington Manor.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Bro. John Small will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Sunday at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Bro. Kirby was born March 19, 1932 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Charlie D. and Donnie (Douglas) Kirby. He was a preacher for the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, a retired bus driver for the Clarksburg School System, retired owner of Carroll County Pest Control and a retired auto mechanic. He was also preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Dorothy Kirby and two sisters, Willie Blackwell and Siddie Gurley
He is survived by his wife, Louise Kirby of Wildersville, one daughter, Lisa Clark (Billy D.) of Memphis and one son, Terry Kirby of Memphis. He also leaves two grandchildren, Jeremy Clark, Chris Clark and four great grandchildren, Emily, Jerrica, Marissa and C.J.
