Mr. Philip "Jack" Gordon Jackson 86, of Huntingdon passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Crossroads Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room on Saturday from 5:00 PM to 8:00PM and on Sunday from 10:00 AM until time of service
Mr. Jackson was born February 11, 1926 in Benton County, Tennessee to the late Jesse James Jackson and Delphia Pafford Wilson. He was a retired manager of Huntingdon Produce, a member of New Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church and a Navy WWII Veteran. He was also preceded in death by his wife Addene Jackson, his step father; Alvin Wade Wilson, half brother; James Alvin Wilson and half sister; Wanda Faye Laws.
He is survived by one daughter; Joyce Byrd (husband Jody) of Alamo, two sons; Wayne Jackson, Kenneth Jackson (wife Lindel) both of Huntingdon, one sister; Sylvia Williams of Roseville, Michigan and William Floyd Jackson of Kalkaska, Michigan. He also leaves four grandchildren; Kathy Jo Jetton, Kevin Jackson, Kendell Jackson and Karon Smith, eleven great grandchildren; Abagail Jackson, Noah Jackson, Perrin Elizabeth Jackson, Ty Riley, Drew Riley, Gregg Duckworth, Allison Duckworth, Roger Jetton, Mary Pinson Jackson, Seth Patrick Jackson and Porter Allen Jackson and two great great grandchildren..
