Mrs. Rachel Pentecost 74, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away from a long illness Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Bro. Tim Maness will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Tim Sellers, Allen Maness, Glenn Halter, Johnny White, Gayle Kyle and Allen Kee.

Mrs. Pentecost was born March 17, 1939 in Henderson County, Tennessee to the late William Joseph and Fronia (Rainey) Meals. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband Jerry Pentecost and a brother, Charlie Meals.

She is survived by one son, Randall Jones (wife Bonnie) of Oxnard, California; two daughters, Sheila Pruitt (husband Jim) of Huntingdon, Angela Henry (husband Ronnie) of Greenfield; and one sister, Mildred Collins of Huntingdon. She also leaves eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
