Mr. "Buddy" Ray Newbill Fields, 78 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Jeffery Moody officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Union Academy Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Oak Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Fields was born July 14, 1941 in Huntingdon to the late Robert Charles Fields and Fay (Newbill) Fields. He was a retired meter reader for the West Tennessee Public Utility District after 27 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Lou (Pruitt) Fields, one daughter, Shannon Hawkins (husband Tim) of Lacoochee, Florida, one son, James Howard Thompson Jr. of Huntingdon, one sister, Shelby Pruitt of Huntingdon, three grandchildren, Elizabeth Smith, Sarah Drinkard, Bobby Ray Hawkins, three step-grandsons and 10 great-grandchildren.
