Mr. Raymond Earl Thompson, 84 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at his home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Charity or charity of choice.
The family will receive friends in the Cherry Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Monday, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM.
Mr. Thompson was born January 5, 1930 in Westport, TN to the late Earnest Floyd Thompson and Opal Lucille (Taylor) Thompson. He was a retired machinist for McDonald Douglas Aircraft and a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ, and the UAW Union for Boeing. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Nelda Thompson, one sister; Lorene Lucille Moore, and one brother; Robert Thompson.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Betty (Dill) Thompson, one daughter; Dolores F. Kerns of Mulberry, Florida, one sister; Alice Fay Collier of Plano, Texas, and one brother; Earnest Floyd Thompson Jr. of Wright City, Missouri. He also leaves several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
