Mr. Richard Alton Cross, 82, of Westport, Tennessee passed away Monday, February 9, 2026 at his home.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM with Bro. Billy Clark officiating.  Interment will follow in Jamison Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Robert Mehlhorn, Michael Hart, Norman Cross, Brett Cross, Bryan Cross and Johnny Blount.

Mr. Cross was born January 5, 1944, in Westport, to the late Alton and Dora Lee Hilliard Cross. He was a supervisor at Norandal.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandra Cross, a daughter, Melanie Brown (Ricky) of Martin, a son, Mark Cross (Diane) of Huntingdon. He also leaves four grandchildren, Brett Cross (Shelby), Bryan Cross, Kaleigh Mehlhorn (Robert) and Shawn Brown, and two great-grandchildren, Caroline and Rhett Cross.
