Mr. Richard Darrell McAlexander, 71 of Cedar Grove, Tennessee passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 at his home.



Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Bro. Robert Barger will officiate the service.



The family will receive friends in the Cherry Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service.



Mr. McAlexander was born July 3, 1940 to the late Thurman Andrew McAlexander and Hattie Ola (Robinson) McAlexander. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, welder and maintenance for Yergun Company, and a member of the National Guard.



He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dee Ann McAlexander, three sons, Roger McAlexander (wife Laura), Ricky McAlexander (wife Cheryl) both of Huntingdon, Randy McAlexander (wife Kim) of Atwood, one sister, Virginia Rhea and one brother, Charlie McAlexander (wife Rhonda), both of Lavinia. He also leaves four grandchildren, Genji Prater (husband Chad), Alex McAlexander, Kelsey McAlexander, and Heath McAlexander.
