Mr. Richard "Ricky" Douglas Smith, 68, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Bro. Jimmy Furr officiating.  Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Smith was born June 25, 1955 in Milan, Tennessee.  He was self-employed as a construction worker and a member of First Baptist Church in Huntingdon.  He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry N. Smith and a half-brother, Jeff Smith.

He is survived by one daughter, Lesley Smith of Key West, Florida, one son, Brian Smith of Hendersonville, his mother, Sue Smith, one sister, Barbara Smith Tyson, both of Huntingdon, one brother, David Smith of Boise, Idaho, his long-time friend, Kay Robison, who will miss him dearly.  He also leaves one grandson, Xander Smith.
