Mr. Roy Ellis Jr., 91 of Clarksburg, Tennessee passed away Friday, June 24 2022, at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 27, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.

Mr. Ellis was born January 29, 1931 in Westport, Tennessee, to the late Roy and Ada (Hollowell) Ellis.  He retired from Gaines Manufacturing, where he worked in the maintenance department and was a member of Westport Missionary Baptist Church.  Beside his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sons, Darrell Ellis, Mike Ellis, granddaughter, Angie Ellis, and one brother, Tyler Ellis.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Ellis, one son, David Ellis (Paula Miller) of New Johnsonville, daughter-in-law, Joyce Ellis.  He also leaves three grandchildren, Brandi Ellis (Willie Gilbert), Amanda Lambdin (Phillip), Heather Hodge (Scott), six great-grandchildren, Katelynn Breeden (Chase), Makaliyah Hughes, Matthew Lambdin, Harper Hodge, Lilah Hodge, and Da'Leiyah Gilbert, a nd two great great grandchildren, Talon Breeden and Brysen Walker.
