Mrs. Ruth Jordan 94, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday, November 08, 2013 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Clark Street Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Humbles Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday at the Clark Street Missionary Baptist Church from 12:00 PM until time of service.

Mrs. Jordan was born April 12, 1919 in McLemoresville, Tennessee to the late Earl and Gay (Clark) Algee. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clark Street Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Jordan; daughter Ruby Tharpe and one son, William Jordan.

She is survived by two daughters, Jane Gilbert (Ike), Brenda Parker (Thomas) both of Huntingdon and three sons, Rufus Jerry Jordan of Dyer, Charles Jordan (Mary) of Antioch and Dennis Jordan of Huntingdon. She also leaves twenty five grandchildren, eighty five great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren.
