Mrs. Ruth Jane Singleton, 94, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Bro. Johnny Boyd will officiate the services.

The family will receive friends at Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday after 5:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Singleton was born November 6, 1921 in Decatur County, Tennessee to the late Eurie and Bertha (Hicks) Mathis. She was a retired seamstress for the Publix Shirt Corp. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Singleton, a son, Charles Singleton; two sisters, Luna Hollowell, Bonnie Ellis, and three brothers, Loys Mathis, Carl Mathis, and Lenard Mathis.

She is survived by one sister, Earseal Richardson of Jackson and one brother, Billy Mathis (Ruth) of Broomfield, Illinois. She also leaves two granddaughters Tabitha Albrecht and Libby Singleton-Beasley, one great granddaughter, Brooke Albrecht, and several nieces and nephews.
