Mrs. Sammie Ruth Simpson, 71, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 12:00 PM noon, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home, with Bro. Jacob Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.

Mrs. Simpson was born April 20, 1951 in Huntingdon to the late Raymond Henry and Ribbie Carolyn Robinson Boyd. She was a seamstress for Publix and a member of First Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Randall Boyd, and a great-granddaughter, Palmer Bolton.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Dennis Simpson, two daughters, Crystal Sullivan (Michael) of Milan, Tina Peevyhouse (Tommy) of Huntingdon, a son, Chris Simpson (Hollie) of Medina, and a brother, Jimmy Boyd (Nina) of Leach. She also leaves eight grandchildren, Braxton Bolton, Carrson Butler, Knox Simpson, Corbin Sullivan, Hayden Sullivan, Nathaniel Peevyhouse, Trevor Peevyhouse, and Ethan Peevyhouse, and one great-grandchild, Asher Williamson.
