Mrs. Sara Lou Ballard, 90, of Clarksburg, Tennessee passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sellers Hill Cemetery. Bro. Chase Sanders will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in Cherrywood room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Ballard was born July 7, 1925 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Thomas Leroy and Ima Jewel (Carnal) Haywood. She was retired from Johnson Control and a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ. She also sold Avon, Tupperware, and was a waitress for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Ballard and four brothers, Alton Haywood, Joe Haywood, Bobby Haywood, and Clayton Haywood.

She is survived by two sons, Larry Ballard of Huntingdon, Harold Ballard (Julia) of Oreana, Illinois; one sister, Mary Morgan of Cedar Grove; three brothers, Tom Haywood of Huntingdon, Clifton Haywood of Alamo, Kentucky , and Paul Haywood (Pasty) of Clarksburg. She also leaves eleven grandchildren, Kathy Ballard, Lynn Ballard, Sara Meaders, Gene Ballard, Alton Ballard, Les Ballard, Lou Davis, Joy Swearingen, David Ballard, Rusty Ballard, and Dustin Ballard; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
