Mrs. Shirley Ann Avery, 70 of Huntingdon, Tennessee, passed away Monday, March 23, 2020 at her daughter's home.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Lisa Scott (daughter) has requested memorials and donations be made to the Teamavery a non-profit in remembrance of Shirley Avery. Direct donations to Candice Webb or Dana Robinson #Teamavery.

She was born June 16, 1949 in Marked Tree, Arkansas to the late Rulen Searatt and Lucy Lee Parrett Searatt. She was a member of the True Tabernacle Church, however, at the time of her death she was attending the Faith in Christ Church in Huntingdon. She was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She loved her church, family, being outside, working in her garden, especially her rose garden. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, who passed away March 29, 2019, Bennie Avery.

She is survived by three children, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two sisters.  She also leaves several nieces and nephews.  She was a Godly compassionate mother figure to all our friends, she loved as her own.
