Mrs. Shirley Ann Spivey, 75 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.



Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Clark Cemetery. Bro. Wayne Allen will officiate the service.



The family will receive friends in Cherrywood room of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.



Pallbearers who will serve are her sons.



Mrs. Spivey was born April 30, 1936 in West Plains, Missouri to the late Lewis Alexander York and Janey (Meyers) York. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Paris. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Pressley, Helen Pollard, two brothers; John Riley York and Robert York.



She is survived by her husband; James Spivey, one daughter; Kim Byars (Chad) of Huntingdon, six sons; James Spivey, Jr. (Mary) of Dyersburg, John Martin Spivey (Carol) of Murray, Kentucky, Mark Spivey (Carol) of Camden, Chuck Spivey of Huntingdon, Randy Spivey (Theresa) of Paris and Chris Spivey (Tammy) of Camden, one sister; Patsy Carrow of Oklahoma, two brothers; Jack York of St. Louis, Missouri and Don York of Kansas City, Missouri. She also leaves twenty seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
