Solomon was born May 13, 2011 in Nashville, Tennessee. Solomon was a happy light in this world. He brought joy wherever he went. He was rarely shy and always full of questions. If he wasn't talking, he was singing, mostly songs he learned at church. Like most little boys, his favorite things included toy trains, tractors and trucks, robots, swords and guns. Every day, he dressed up in at least one of his costumes such as a cowboy, fireman, or superhero, and he loved to pretend he was Prince Charming for whatever princess his sister chose to be.
When we thought hope was gone, we realized that God was not finished using Solomon on this Earth. Parts of his sweet little body have been shared with other children to continue bringing joy to others. The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center has memorialized his legacy by setting up the Solomon Lee DeVille Art Scholarship. There is joy in Heaven and on Earth for the eternal life of this child, Solomon Lee
DeVille. 2 Corinthians 4:7-12
He is survived by his parents, Stoney and Laura (Smothers) DeVille, one brother, Landon, age 12, one sister, Celia, age 5, maternal grandparents, William Lee and Linda Smothers of Huntingdon, paternal grandparents, Terrel and Carol DeVille of Homer, Louisiana and paternal great grandmother, Blanche Crowson of Hodge, Louisiana.
