Mrs. Sue Carol Sides Cowan, 83, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026 at her home in Moscow, Tennessee.

She was born September 16, 1942 in Huntsville AL, her parents were Maxine Moss Sides and John McCraw Sides both in Moscow TN. Sue attended Fayette County High School and after high school she went to cosmetology school in Memphis TN. She worked as a cosmetologist eventually opening her own beauty shop in Somerville TN and later moving it to her home in Williston. She later went into the healthcare field and retired from St. Francis Hospital in Memphis TN. Sue was preceded in death by her parents John and Maxine Sides an infant daughter Nicky Michelle Hines and her little dog a long haired dachshund that she loved more than she loved herself, TuTu. Sue is survived by her only child Sherry Einbinder of Moscow TN and three grandsons William Hartley of St Augustine FL, Kyle Hartley of Fruit Cove Fl and Joshua Izzo of Moscow TN. She had two sisters that she adored and couldn't go a day without speaking to, Johnnie Woods of Stanton TN and Jean (Deany) Earnest (Allen) of Moscow TN. A niece Amy McDonald of Shreveport LA three nephews Jack Woods (Georgeanne) Gerald Woods (Dana) of Stanton TN and John Earnest (Christy) of Memphis TN. Sue loved to cook and she was a great cook. She loved gardening and could grow anything she especially loved roses. Sue had great friends who were very special to her Gary Lewis of Moscow TN, Judy Sides (Buck) of Moscow TN, Quida McNabb of Brighton TN. Her friends and sisters were very helpful during her illness stopping by and offering to help with anything they could.

Sue will be missed by everyone who loved her, she was one of a kind with a vibrant personality that lit up a room.

There will be a memorial service for close friends and family the date has not been decided.
