Mrs. Sue Carol Gurley, 81 of Clarksburg, Tennessee, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023, at Life Care Center in Bruceton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Simons officiating.  Interment will follow in Seller's Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Gurley was born April 24, 1942 in Yuma, Tennessee, to the late James Thomas and Lessie (Haynes) Harris.  She worked as a seamstress at Publix Shirt Corporation and a member of Roan's Creek Church of Christ.  Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Gurley.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Orbra Gurley, one daughter, Tena Halter (Glenn) of Huntingdon, one son, Glyn Gurley of Jackson, one sister, Jo Furr (Clayton) of Huntingdon, two brothers, Charles Harris (Glenda) of Yuma, and Don Harris (Diane) of Big Sandy.  She also leaves four grandchildren, Josh Gurley, Aaron Gurley, Amber Halter, and Colton Halter, two great-grandchildren, Gatlin Gurley and Sutton Gurley.
