Mrs. Theresa Johnson, 62, Tennessee passed away Friday, June 29, 2019 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home.  Pastor Wilma W. Pearson will officiate the service.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service.

Ms. Johnson was born April 16, 1957 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Roy T. Nelson and Nellie Curtis Howard.  She worked for the Oshkosh Company as a production worker and HIS of Gleason and was a member of the Johnson Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where she served as a Chairperson for the Kitchen committee, Pastor's Aid, Sunday School Teacher and a delegate to the District and Annual Conference.  She was also preceded in death by her step father, Robert C. Howard, two sisters, Louise Nolan and Joanna Harris, step brother, Charles Howard, step sister, Mary K. Howard, four uncles, James Nelson, Rossevelt Nelson, William Nelson, Albert Curtis, two nephews, Jermaine Howard and Troy Nolan.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Charles L. Johnson, one son, Spencer J. Johnson (fiancé, Melissa Woodard) of McKenzie, step daughter, Nikki Foster (fiancé Frank Lee) one sister, Roberta (Claude) Teague, sixteen loving grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  She also leaves an uncle, Leonard (Ruth) Nelson of Michigan, an aunt, Magnolia Nelson of Jackson, six sisters-in-law, Melba (Rev. Sam) Donald, Gloria (Bishop Bobby) Davis, Helen (J.G.) Willis, Alice (Darrell) Monk, Charlotte Dinwiddie, and Yvonne Griffin, two brothers-in-law, James (Nell) Johnson, Minor D. Johnson, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
