Mr. Thomas "Tom" Earl McDaniel, 85 of Clarksburg, Tennessee passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Decatur County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Clarksburg Cemetery. Bro. Andrew Stokes will officiate the service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Kenneth Lovell, Jeremy McDaniel, Tommy Glen Altom, Steve McDaniel, Eddie McDaniel, and Tim McDaniel.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.

Mr. McDaniel was born October 10, 1927 in Wildersville, Tennessee to the late Edgar and Gliner Bell (Meggs) McDaniel. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church, where he was as Deacon for over 35 years. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Brooksie McDaniel, who died January 28, 2008, two brothers, Irvin McDaniel and Joe McDaniel.

He is survived by one son, Jerry McDaniel (wife Fay) of Clarksburg, one daughter, Donna McDaniel-Cox (husband Jimmy Cox) of Antioch, one sister, Margaret Nell McPeake of Wildersville. He also leaves four grandchildren, Sue Ann McDaniel, Jeremy McDaniel, Stan Laws, Brad Kinney, two great granddaughters, Brooklyn Laws and Gretchen Wagner.
