Mr. Troy Edward Smith, Sr., 81 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Palmer Shelter Cemetery. Bro. Alex Hilliard and Bro. Lynn Stapleton will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday after 5:00 PM and on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Smith was born December 27, 1933 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late John Ed and Sarah (Holladay) Smith. He was an electrician for Shelby Electric and a member of the Palmer Shelter United Methodist Church, Methodist Men, Civil Air Patrol and Ruritan Club.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia Smith; one daughter, Laurie Smith Horton (husband David) of Jackson; two sons, Troy Edward Smith, Jr. (wife Mary) of Warner Robins, Georgia and Patrick Smith (wife Anita) of Huntingdon and one brother, Ray Smith of Huntingdon. He also leaves one grandson, Philip Issler Jr. (wife Lisa) and eight great grandchildren, Abigail, Bennett, and Carson Troy Issler, Lila Bunton, Ford Bunton, Isaiah Allen, Will Horton, and Miles Horton.
