Obituary

Ms. Virgie Pauline Rumley, 77 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 1:00PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Humbles Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Larry Depriest will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday, from 3:00PM until 9:00PM and on Monday from 8:00AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are David C. Goodrum, Kevin McMackin, Dennis Goodrum, Nick Mayness, Trevor Damesworth, and Vincent Cole.

Ms. Rumley was born August 31, 1935 to the late William Goodrum and Irene (Warner) Goodrum. She was a retired factory worker for the H.I.S. Company and a member of the Tate's Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rumley, one son, James Robert Goodrum, and three sisters, Inez Goodrum, Opal Goodrum, and Sadie Anderson, and one son-in-law, Carl Hampton.

She is survived by three daughters, Patty Hampton of Bruceton, Melissa Dill (Bobby) of Huntingdon, and Denise Rumley also of Huntingdon, one son, David Goodrum (Kimberly) of Camden, one brother, Junior Goodrum (Oretha) of Huntingdon, and one sister, Nell Payne ( Billy Joe) of Hillsboro, Alabama. She also leaves six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
