Ms. Mary Vonita Gant 85, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Harmony Hill Assisted Living.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hampton Cemetery. Bro. Philip Halter will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday after 4:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Ms. Gant was born June 17, 1929 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Tom and Harriett (Moore) Pate. She was retired from Publix Shirt Corp. and was a member of the Concord Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Gant; one son, Tommy Gant; one sister, Minnie Ruth Baker; four brothers, Lloyd Pate, Dwayne Pate, Joel Pate and Glen Moore Pate.

She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Gant of Salt Lake City, Utah; three sons, Daniel Gant (wife Jackie) Tim Gant (wife Marion) both of Clarksburg, and Don Coupple of Kirkwood, Missouri; one step son, Billy Ray Gant of Pocahontas, Illinois; one sister Azlee Brandon (husband Bill) of Westport. She also leaves fifteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren.
