Mr. Wardell Chappel, 86 of Cedar Grove, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Pastor Anthony Gordon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of services.

Mr. Chappel was born March 17, 1932 in Cedar Grove, Tennessee to the late Donald Chappel and Flossie Kirby Chappel. He retired from the Milan Box Company and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

He is survived by one daughter Deborah L. Chappel, two sons, Stephen Chappel (Doris) and Harold Chappel all of Cedar Grove. He also leaves five grandchildren, Octavious Chappel, Jeremy Chappel, CeCelia Chappel, Jessilyn Chappel, Felecia Chappel and twelve great grandchildren.
