Mr. Wayne Kirk, 83, of Lavinia, Tennessee passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare Regional Hospital in Jackson.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Palmer Shelter Cemetery. Bro. Russell Little will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 3:00 PM until time of service.

Mr. Kirk was born August 16, 1932 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Joseph Newton and Manie (Vickers) Kirk. He was retired from the B F Goodrich Company, was a member of the Double Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Bent Tree Gold Club. He served as a Carroll County Commissioner for 17 years, and was a Carroll County Sherriff Deputy, and was a United Sates Navy Korean War Veteran. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Kirk; a sister, Jo Ina Forbess.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Lynn Kirk; one daughter, Sherri Pafford of Lavinia. He also leaves two step grandchildren, Shanna Pafford and Tarra Sims; five great grandchildren, Mikayla, Avery, Maddie, Brayden, and Turner, and a special niece Laura Killen.
