Mr. Wendell Cary, 83, of Westport, Tennessee passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024 at his home.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the Jamison Cemetery.  Bro. Billy Clark will officiate the service. Bro. Tim Parish will direct the congregation in song.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to: Freed-Hardeman University, Memphis School of Preaching, and Westport Church of Christ.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of Service.

Mr. Cary was born December 16, 1940 in Carroll County, Tennessee, to the late Elvin Cary and Pauline Cary (Todd). He worked at CSX Railroad and was an Elder of Westport Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by one sister Karen Burns.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathie Cary; one daughter, Gina Ledsinger (Landon) of Mixie; one sister, Joan Parish of Huntingdon; five brothers, Max Cary (Pansy) of Clarksburg, Jerry Cary (Helen) of Fairview, Terry Cary (Donna) of Huntingdon, Ricky Cary (Cookie) of Westport, and Randy Cary (Alissa) of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren, Eric McMinn                  (Brittany) of Westport and Ryan McMinn (Britney) of Dickson; two great grandchildren, Sophie McMinn and Sadie James McMinn.
