Mr. John Wesley Murphy, 38, of Lavinia, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Obion Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM.

Mr. Murphy was born December 8, 1983 in Jackson, Tennessee. He was an operator for D & M Chipboard and loved dirt track racing. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Otis and Hazel Murphy and maternal grandfather, Jerry Phillips.

He is survived by his parents, Bennie and Debra Murphy of Cedar Grove, maternal grandmother, Betty Phillips of Milan, a sister, Tracey Murphy of Lavinia, and a brother, Michael Murphy of Cedar Grove.  He also leaves two nieces, Kelsey Murphy, Brooklyn Hays, and two nephews, Peyton Hays, Eli Hays, and a host of friends.
